Installation of a Bailey bridge has started at Betrawati after floods in Rasuwa damaged the Galchhi-Betrawati road section, Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal said in an October 2, 2026 update.
The minister said the temporary track on the damaged section was opened first, and work on the Bailey bridge foundations moved ahead alongside it. Both sides’ foundations are now complete, and bridge materials are being delivered to the construction site at full speed through the temporary track.
Once the Bailey bridge installation is finished, the main road network link with Rasuwa that the floods cut off will be formally reconnected, the minister said.
