The Beni-Jomsom-Korala road drone fuel delivery operation has put reconstruction back on a fast track in Myagdi district, after floods in the Kaligandaki River blocked the strategic corridor route and left machinery stranded without fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Sunil Lamsal shared the update on his Facebook page on Sunday, October 5, saying reconstruction work on the blocked road section is now advancing rapidly, with fuel being transported by drone to the affected sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With the support of the Nepal Army, about 400 litres of diesel were transported by drone from Baisari (Kunauto) in Raghu Ganga Rural Municipality-2, Myagdi, to Begkhola along the corridor road section,” the minister wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beni-Jomsom-Korala road is one of Nepal’s key north-south corridors. It connects Beni, the headquarters of Myagdi, through Mustang’s Jomsom to the Korala border point with China. The route carries trade and tourists heading to Jomsom and Muktinath, and it supplies remote settlements in Mustang. When the Kaligandaki River floods and damages the road, the disruption is felt well beyond the damaged stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
