The Department of Roads has invited global bids to upgrade the 69.92-km Hetauda\u2013Narayanghat section of the East-West Highway to a minimum of four lanes, at an estimated cost of around Rs 42.5 billion \u2014 financed 82% through an ADB loan and 18% by the Government of Nepal.
