Tanahun Hydropower Limited has signed a contract worth Rs 169 million, excluding tax, for the reconstruction of four suspension bridges in Tanahun district. The agreement was concluded with the Thani Kali Joshi Joint Venture, according to a report published by Hamro Patro on October 22, 2026. The four crossings were affected by the reservoir of the 140 MW Tanahun hydropower project, and the reconstruction package is intended to restore connectivity for communities around the reservoir area.<\/p>\n

Suspension bridges are lifeline infrastructure across Nepal’s hill districts, where rivers and steep gorges separate settlements from markets, schools, and health facilities.
