2. Civil Sub-Engineer \u2014 Non-gazetted 1st Class<\/h2>\n

For diploma engineers \u2014 the classic overseer route into government service. Written: First Paper (objective \u2014 25 \u00d7 2 general awareness & aptitude + 25 \u00d7 2 job-based knowledge = 100 marks) \u2192 Interview. 13-section technical syllabus: surveying, soil mechanics, hydraulics, structures, highways, irrigation, estimating, hydropower and more.<\/p>\n

3. Assistant Sub-Engineer (Civil) \u2014 4th Level<\/h2>\n

For field-supervision roles: measurement, estimates, muster rolls, site oversight. Job Based Knowledge (30 \u00d7 2 = 60 marks, MCQ) + subjective Paper II (Sections A & B, 50 + 50 marks). 7 practical units: drawing, estimating & supervision, survey, materials, construction technology, building services, local infrastructures.<\/p>\n
